Experience the Enchanting Indian Culture at "Wat Khaek Phuket"

For those who are spiritually inclined, merit-seekers, or interested in Hindu deities, we recommend visiting “Wat Khaek” or the “Indian Temple” located in Talad Yai Sub-district, Mueang District, Phuket Province. This temple stands as one of the most spiritually powerful places rich in fascinating history.

Wat Khaek Phuket was established approximately 80 years ago by Indian immigrants who came to pursue their livelihoods in Phuket and sought to establish a religious sanctuary to anchor their spiritual lives. The temple has since become the central hub for the Indian community and faithful devotees to the present day.

Within the temple, several important Hindu deities are enshrined, including Lord Ganesha, the deity of wisdom and success; Lord Murugan, the deity of victory; and Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Devotees frequently come to seek blessings regarding career advancement, financial matters, and success in life.

One of the most significant annual events that draws countless worshippers is the birthday celebration of Lord Ganesha, featuring grand festivities with elaborate processions, prayer ceremonies, and participation from numerous devotees, including local Indians, tourists, and Phuket residents.

Wat Khaek welcomes visitors for worship without restrictions based on ethnicity or religion. Visitors need only dress appropriately, remove their shoes, and show respect for the sacred space. Everyone can freely participate in ceremonies or visit for observation.

Should you have the opportunity to visit Phuket, do not forget to stop by Wat Khaek to seek blessings and enhance your fortune—no need to travel far to India.
